Environmental education can effectively contribute to various subjects such as science, mathematics, English, drama, art, geography and history. We are committed to supporting environmental education within the national curriculum and we have many educational presentations, workshops and practical activities to choose from.
The Flintshire Community Wildlife Project works with schools throughout North East Wales to develop interest in the local environment and nature conservation. We aim to:
Highlight the environmental education opportunities relevant to the National Curriculum
Further develop and sustain positive attitudes towards the environment for pupils and staff.
Provide practical learning experiences about local wildlife, the importance of biodiversity and nature conservation.
We have an exciting and varied educational programme to choose from including:
Age range: The majority of these activities are suitable for primary schools. However some activities can be designed for secondary school level.
