SUMMARY:GCN Licence Course
DESCRIPTION:    NEWWildlife has over 20 years experience in GCN conservation and owns and manages sites around North East Wales for the benefit of GCN.    This course focuses on everything you will need to know to work towards your own GCN licence.  The course covers the law protecting GCN\, survey techniques\, ecology\, biosecurity\, protecting and enhancing habitat for GCN\, ecological compliance audit.    Volunteer with us during the survey season of April and May and throughout the year on habitat creation to develop the skills you have learnt on the course.    Thanks to funding from the Countryside Council for Wales we are able to offer this course at reduced rates; £20 for members of the public and £100 for professionals.    Booking Form

SUMMARY:Litterpick and Woodland Fun Day
DESCRIPTION:Join NEWWildlife and Keep Wales Tidy at Broadoak Wood in Connah's Quay to help maintain this important reserve.  The day will start with a community litter pickup followed by a fun woodland event in the afternoon.  This site does suffer from a lot of litter being thrown so we hope to clear all debris and encourage the local community to help preserve the site.   The woodland event in the afternoon will include a litter sculpture\, making birdfeeders and recycled willow sculpture.
