Volunteering

Our volunteers are valued members of the team and make a lot of our work possible. We are always keen to welcome new volunteers who want to get involved. Most volunteer activities depend on the season however they can include hedge laying, tree planting, pond clearance, species surveying and monitoring, grassland maintenance and community events where volunteers can assist with fundraising at the event.
Volunteers meet on a regular basis at Rhydymwyn Valley Nature Reserve and are provided with a schedule of activities so they know what to expect. We regularly hold events and training that volunteers are encouraged to attend and to help us with. We can also accommodate placements for students, this can depend a lot on staff availability and the wildlife activities at the time of the request, if you would like to enquire about a placement with our experienced staff please contact us.
All volunteers must complete an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check before volunteering can commence as we work with vulnerable adults and children. This check is free of charge.
If you would like to join NEWWildlife as a volunteer please complete the form below and return to our office at Rhydymwyn Valley Nature Reserve.
