Great crested newt survey & monitoring

Glascoed was created in 2000 to help support the internationally rare Great crested newt, which was displaced by the construction of St. Aspah Business Park. The reserve consists of a mosaic of 14 ponds, grassland and ditch, and now supports a variety of wildlife. Roe deer, Lapwing and Emperor dragonflies can be seen using the site.
