Maes Y Grug Nature Reserve

This pretty reserve has a lagoon at its centre, which is home to amphibians, grass snakes and water fowl. There are a number of smaller ponds and scrapes to accommodate the large newt population. NEWW owns and manages a proportion of this reserve, the rest is under the control of Flintshire County Council.
